SkyWest Airlines CRJ Simulator Check Airman in Atlanta, Georgia
Primary Job Duties
Time Commitment:
- 12 Months from Qualification
Duties:
Teach CRJ pilots in a classroom or simulator setting
Work on special projects as assigned
Model pilot proficiency and professionalism
Maintain instructor currency by being observed regularly, completing instructor training, and attending required meetings
Advocate company objectives and principles
Working Conditions/Policy:
Normally, assignments are pre-assigned
Pre-assigned days are determined by Training Coordination or the Manager CRJ Fleet Training
Pre-assigned days could vary between 0 and 20 per month. After qualification, the typical pre-assignment is 5-16 days
Assignments are regularly required on holidays and weekends
Assignments regularly require travel on trips between 3 and 10 days.
There is often a need for last minute coverage of open sessions
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
CL65 PIC qualification
Minimum 9 months as CRJ PIC
Minimum 100 hours CRJ PIC
Must be in good standing with the company; exemplify SkyWest Guiding Principles
Demonstrated history of strong professionalism and leadership
Willingness to comply with preset curriculums and syllabus’
Ability to deliver presentations in a classroom briefing setting
Able and willing to work for long periods of time away from base
Ability to deliver instruction in a simulator and other training devices
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, instructors, and managers
Previous instruction experience
No unsatisfactory training in the last 18 months
FAA Approval to be SCA
Procedurally compliant
Competitive Qualifications:
Instructional level knowledge of the SOPM, OPSECS, FOM, GDPM
500+ hours CRJ PIC
History of completing training on schedule with no unsatisfactory training
Previous SkyWest or other aviation instruction experience
