SkyWest Airlines Manager Accessory Shop in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Primary Job Duties

As Manager Accessory Shop you will be responsible for component maintenance and repair. Perform component maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer maintenance manuals, SkyWest GMM, and established shop procedures in the interest of flight safety.

  • Responsible to the Director of Technical Support

  • Oversee maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration accomplished within accessory shops

  • Authorized to perform OJT instruction and determine student's level of understanding and aptitude during OJT

  • Ensure that company and technical publications issued to and used by the accessory shop are updated

  • Secure required tool and calibration equipment as necessary

  • Maintain files adequate to assure periodic calibration of all inspection and precision test equipment

  • Complete inspection reports for each appliance repaired or calibrated and file by appliance type and serial number

  • Assumes the full responsibility of all repairs, maintenance, and inspection on all components and appliances accomplished by the Accessory Shop

  • Perform other tasks as delegated by the Director of Technical Support

  • Responsible to the Quality Control department during the performance of an inspection on work completed

  • Confirm all inspections are properly performed prior to release

Minimum Requirements

  • Hold a valid A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate

  • Experience in supervising personnel

  • Be familiar with industry quality policies and procedures

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to changing environments/priorities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the proven ability to work successfully in a team environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, including all employees

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Ability to coach, mentor and support current and future SkyWest maintenance leaders

  • Demonstrated understanding of SkyWest and/or industry business model and drivers

  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Able to lift 75 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
