SkyWest Airlines Safety Data Analyst in Salt Lake City, Utah
Primary Job Duties
Analyze, compile, and report safety metric data to support all SkyWest safety programs.
Knowledge of FARs and Company policies and procedures preferred.
Administer selected safety data processes as directed by the Director Safety Assurance.
Analyzing and reporting on safety assurance-related data from safety data sources.
Analyzing data for safety performance trends.
Participating in all monthly DAG and other meetings, as directed by the Director Safety Assurance.
Providing safety data reports to safety managers for inclusion into the DAG meeting.
Upon request, providing pattern and trend analysis reports to Safety Managers.
Providing safety data reports to the Managing Director Safety and Director Safety Assurance for:
Partner safety metric reporting
Internal and external safety meetings
Ad hoc reporting for active investigations or proactive risk analysis
Upon request, participating in investigations and Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs).
Be qualified through training, experience and expertise to function as a supervisory data analyst.
Formal education including comprehensive data collection, quantitative methods, data interpretation, analysis techniques, and statistical analysis; and/or
Professional data analyst certification;
Two years of work experience as a data analyst or related job
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to make presentations to leadership groups.
Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively manage time.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Working knowledge of SharePoint is beneficial.
Analytical and or statistical experience preferred.
Experience with Excellence through Quality (EtQ) Reliance preferred.
Two years experience in aviation industry preferred.
Experience in Aviation SMS database preferred.
Experience in FOQA/LOSA programs preferred.
