Primary Job Duties
As an InFlight Development Specialist your primary responsibility will be the development of content for all required flight training curriculum.
Design and develop course-ware using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices for applicable InFlight Training Programs; Initial New Hire (INH), Continuing Qualification (CQ), Requalification, Transition, Additional, InFlight Experience, and Instructor
Ensure course-ware content is in compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations
Work with the SkyWest Multimedia and Creative Services Department to create and develop distance learning (CBTs) and videos for applicable training programs
Manage multiple projects concurrently
Design and develop exercises, study guides, and other training tools to aid in the learning process
Ensure all applicable training course-ware is updated and current when new revisions to policies and procedures are issued
Interface with all SkyWest departments to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable training course-ware
Develop training content with clear objectives and effective content for various types of learners
Attend required Company meetings
Attend training workshops and seminars pertinent to applicable InFlight training programs and industry conferences
This position is part-time, hourly office position located in Salt Lake City at the SkyWest Hangar Training Facility consisting of a minimum of 12 hours per week with a maximum of 29 hours per week Monday-Friday with possible overtime and some weekend coverage
Must currently live or be willing to relocate at own expense to Salt Lake City, UT; relocation costs will not be covered by the Company. There is no option to work remotely.
Starting pay for this position is $10.75 per hour plus an override of $2.00 per hour totaling $12.75 per hour. This starting pay is based on experience and a corporate pay scale.
If currently working for SkyWest and selected for the position, must be willing to resign from current position
Current SkyWest flight attendants may opt retain their InFlight seniority however the position cannot be held in conjunction with flying
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn SkyWest Airlines InFlight policies and procedures, as well as other departmental policies and procedures which interface with the InFlight department
Previous/current flight attendant experience preferred
Maintain current flight attendant status and actively perform as a flight attendant once a quarter or every 120 days (if current SkyWest flight attendant)
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn airline regulations as applicable to the flight attendant position and InFlight training programs
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to work at a desk and on a computer for long periods of time
Must wear a company compliant face mask/covering, as required
As a part-time employee you would not be eligible for medical benefits, 401k, vacation time accrual, nor holiday pay (unless scheduled to work a company recognized holiday which will be paid at time-and-one-half)
