SkyWest Airlines Specialist InFlight Development in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Primary Job Duties

As an InFlight Development Specialist your primary responsibility will be the development of content for all required flight training curriculum.

  • Design and develop course-ware using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices for applicable InFlight Training Programs; Initial New Hire (INH), Continuing Qualification (CQ), Requalification, Transition, Additional, InFlight Experience, and Instructor

  • Ensure course-ware content is in compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations

  • Work with the SkyWest Multimedia and Creative Services Department to create and develop distance learning (CBTs) and videos for applicable training programs

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Design and develop exercises, study guides, and other training tools to aid in the learning process

  • Ensure all applicable training course-ware is updated and current when new revisions to policies and procedures are issued

  • Interface with all SkyWest departments to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable training course-ware

  • Attend required Company meetings

  • Attend training workshops and seminars pertinent to applicable InFlight training programs and industry conferences

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

  • Knowledge/ability to learn SkyWest Airlines InFlight policies and procedures, as well as other departmental policies and procedures which interface with the InFlight department

  • Understanding of Aviation Regulations as applicable to the flight attendant position and InFlight training programs

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Ability to develop training content with clear objectives and effective content for various types of learners

  • Attention to detail in producing quality work

  • Ability to be self-driven and excel with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Contribute to a positive work environment

  • Ability to adapt to constant change

  • Handle stressful situations professionally

  • Maintain confidential information

  • Operate office equipment and telephone system

  • Prioritize projects effectively

  • Maintain current flight attendant status and actively perform as a flight attendant every 120 days (if current SkyWest flight attendant)

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Previous development experience desired

  • Qualified flight attendant preferred

  • Previous teaching/instructing experience desired

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred
