Primary Job Duties

Daily processing and validation of ASAP reports in WBAT
Assist with correspondence with ASAP submitters
Processing ASAP ERC meetings in WBAT
Assist with coding ASAP using HFACS
Assigning severity risk to ASAP events
Documenting and tracking Corrective Actions for ERCs
Develop queries to generate data for valid analysis
Analyze ASAP data to identify safety hazards, root cause(s), and observations for possible effective corrective actions
Attend company safety meetings and report on ASAP data
Attend and assist in the facilitation of ASAP ERC meetings
Attend industry safety conferences as requested.
Assist the ASAP Manager and or other ASAP Analyst(s) as requested
Performs assigned duties in absence of ASAP Manager or other ASAP Analyst(s)
Assist with development, facilitation, and provide proactive safety program training and education to stakeholders
Assist with development, evaluation, monitoring, and compliance with ASAP regulations, concepts of operations, policies, standards, and procedures
Confer and coordinate with company departments, analysts, and stakeholders to identify trends and issues.
Ensure analyses address issues of concern to the various functional areas; access data for safety issues to guide ASAP analysis.
Assist with creation and dissemination of professional articles, briefings, case studies, cost benefit analyses, marketing materials, and training materials to stakeholders and designated users at SkyWest and targeted units that communicate ASAP safety findings, corrective actions, program plans, goals, objectives, benefits, schedule, and the road ahead.
Collaborate with industry and academic experts on aviation safety, hazards, and trends, including goals and capabilities for further ASAP development and utilization.
Coordinates with the software vendors to improve data collection and retention and resolve any issues involving data management
Knowledge of statistical reporting and data analytics
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power-Point. Tableau experience preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and networking skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
Drive for results and timely completion of assignments
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge and/or experience in aviation field
Professional degree preferred, but not required in lieu of industry of experience
- Current drivers' license and ability to meet insurance requirements to drive Company and rented vehicles
Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to speak, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel, type, and reach with hands and arms consistently. Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally
Ability to clearly see computer screen from a seated position, ability to clearly view a presentation screen from 20 feet
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Moderate noise (business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
