Primary Job Duties
Reports to the Manager of Quality Assurance. He/she is responsible for the statistical analysis of audit findings and collects operational and performance data. Provide continual analysis of Steton data for defects, deficiencies, negative trends, anomalies and quality and safety issues. This position is responsible for statistical reporting as defined by CASS such as investigating adverse indicators. He/she coordinates the monthly CASS agenda and weekly CASS agenda action items. He/she makes recommendations for improved maintenance quality. He/she conducts monthly reviews and makes changes to checklists to meet changing regulatory and SkyWest procedure.
Responsible to the Manager of Quality Assurance and SMS
Maintains CASS agenda, CASS history files along with CASS spread sheets for tracking of action items and events
Performs analytical studies of Audit findings, as well as SkyWest work/policy trends and vendor audit finding history
Provides statistical analysis to identify trends, investigate adverse indicators; accomplish risk analysis and assessment
Assists in determining root cause analysis
Will verify that the corrective action was effective, and initiate risk-based follow-up and surveillance planning, as appropriate
Will identify the need for special audits regarding trends identified
Will organize and take minutes at the Monthly CASS Meeting
Will analyze and score audits performed for the CASS program, and input collected data in the computer database
Will generate a Maintenance Operations Report on issues needing attention or corrective action
Enter and monitors Maintenance Operations Reports into the auditing database
Researches all avenues regarding issues found in Maintenance Operations Reports
Organizes all findings and corrective actions taken within the Maintenance Departments in such a way that communication will follow
Monitors effectiveness of corrective action and follow-up
May make recommendation for Self Disclosure to the FAA
Assists in follow up of assigned action items with responsible individuals
Organize incoming CASS event information to appropriate database
Distribution of Monthly CASS agenda, action items and new events to the CASS board
Assist the CASS Tech Ops Inspectors in updating events
Interface with the Manager of Maintenance Safety to identify negative trends that have an effect across company departmental lines
Be familiar with SkyWest Company policies and procedures
Be familiar with Industry quality policies and procedures
Possess good computer skills
Possess organizational and scheduling skills
Strong Steton knowledge
Ability to gain Auditor Status
Eye for detail
Strong Communication Skills (oral and written)
Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer and work for extended periods of time.
