Primary Job Duties
As a SkyWest Airlines CASS Technical Operations Inspector, you are responsible for the collection of aircraft maintenance related data and continual analyzing of said data for defects, deficiencies, negative trends, quality and safety issues. You will make recommendations for improved maintenance programs, quality, and aircraft safety.
Responsible to the Manager of Quality Assurance/CASS
Research and analyze all avenues regarding issues found in Operational Data to include but not limited to:
SDR and Irregularity Reports
SkyWest Maintenance Inspection Program
Perform reliability/analytical studies on aircraft systems and components, as well as SkyWest work/policy trends and vendor history
Seek to understand the significance of data provided/available for anomalies and deficiencies
Provide statistical reports of the above and make recommendations for improved maintenance quality
Assist in determining root cause analysis
May Generate a CASS Event on items found during analysis or other means needing attention or corrective action
Enters CASS Events initiated into the QA database
Interfaces with Vice President, Directors, Managers of Maintenance, Managers of QC, Safety Office, IEP and Fleet Coordinators
Monitors effectiveness of Corrective Action and implementation of Preventive Action of deficiencies identified
May make recommendation for Self Disclosure to the FAA
Assists in Audit Form revision, format and update
Other duties as assigned by Management
Be familiar with the requirements of CASS and SMS
Be familiar with SkyWest Company policies and procedures
Be familiar with Industry quality policies and procedures
A & P Certificate
E175 experience preferred
CRJ 200/700/900 experience preferred
Human Factors Training
Possess organizational and scheduling skills
Strong Communication Skills (oral and written)
On-site process evaluations for components and systems
Must be able to travel
Physical and Other Requirements
Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time
