Primary Job Duties
Parts conformity review for Engineering Authorizations (EAs).
Reviews structural repairs requiring Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA) and ensure any required Damage Tolerance Inspection (DTI) is received.
Reviews acceptable and approved data for use in the preparation of EAs.
Assists with the preparation of EAs.
Coordinates with Outside Engineering Firms for Engineering Concurrence.
Coordinates with Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs) for projects and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs).
Reviews and prepare deviation to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) instructions data packages for approval.
Reviews data and approve vendor repairs that are outside the scope of the manufacturer's data.
Reviews and prepare Alternate Tools and Test Equipment packages for final approval.
Reviews and prepare Owner Produced Parts Program packages for final approval.
Assists the parts department to ensure that all shelf life items with calendar-tracked constraints, as listed in the applicable time limits manual, are appropriately built to prevent expiration while in storage.
Reviews and gives approval for the use of Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) parts.
Assists with SkyTrack Part number Set-Up.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Engineering and Compliance.
Minimum Requirements
Valid A&P Certificate
Good organizational and communication skills
Self-starter
Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of aviation maintenance and industry practices
Familiar with aircraft technical data
Experience in Aviation Quality Procedures and Practices
Must be familiar with Operation Specifications and applicable Code Federal Regulations (CFRs)
Physical and Other Requirements
Job is located in St. George, UT. No remote opportunities available
Work schedule is Monday-Friday 8-5, weekends and holidays off
Pay is salary similar to current A&P, premiums and incentives may apply
The ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
