Primary Job Duties

SkyWest is hiring individuals to join our AOG Desk Team. Shifts offered will be 3, 12-hour shifts per week, Day shift covering 6 AM – 6 PM and Night covering 6 PM to 6 AM. Enjoy a condensed weekly schedule to be able to utilize flight benefits. Starting pay $14.00 (Night Shift will receive $1 override).

  • Responsible for systemwide coverage of all parts needed for aircraft on ground (AOG) / Low time minimum equipment list (MEL) aircraft.

  • Coordinate with MX Stations to ship parts between locations for AOG / Low time MEL aircraft.

  • Coordinate the logistics for the movement of materials for AOG / MEL Needs

  • Authorized to borrow or purchase parts from other airlines as needed.

  • Authorized to purchase directly from original equipment manufacturer (OEM’s) and vendors as needed.

  • Coordinate (approve) loans and accommodation sales to other airlines

  • Expediting repaired and purchased parts for general and urgent aircraft maintenance

  • Evaluate parts usage and distribute parts orders to nationwide bases for aircraft maintenance

  • Compile reports regarding Repair Priority, summarization, weekly planning, AOG, backorder, etc.

  • Develop and maintain strong and professional vendor relationships

  • Maintain proper paperwork compliance for purchases needing drop shipments and ensure proper receipt and trace is on file.

  • Coordinate robs from Line, Hangar, C Check and retired/stored aircraft for AOG requirements when unable to expedite open orders in a timely manner.

  • Work with Maintenance Control Center (MCC), MX Hangar and Senior Manager On Duty (SMOD) to determine possibility of robbing from aircraft in storage or C Check for AOG requirements when unable to expedite open orders in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for reviewing open MEL’s to ensure planes routed into MX have inventory at site to clear discrepancies

  • Work with vendors to expedite open orders for items deemed critical stock

  • Assist other airlines in their AOG needs when it will not impact SkyWest operations

  • Other duties to be assigned by manager/supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated and able to proactively identify and prevent potential operational disruptions due to lack of parts

  • Proficient working knowledge of PC and Windows applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong organizational skills and an aptitude to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Able to work independently and as an integral part of a team

Physical and Other Requirements

  • This position is on-site, with no remote work available. Must live in or be willing to relocate to St. George, UT

  • This posting is for the Night shift (covering 6 PM to 6 AM) and will receive $1 override

  • Moderate noise (business office with computers, printers, light traffic, and Group setting)

  • Sitting for extended periods of time in front of a computer and on the phone
