Primary Job Duties

IT Business Analyst Assists the application development team in gathering system requirements, developing system designs, coordinating application testing and assisting business partners with change management. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Documenting both manual and automated business processes

• Identifying and documenting business application requirements

• Providing an interface between business partners and application developers

• Reviewing the adequacy of potential 3rd party application systems

• Developing and reviewing system design documents

• Assisting software engineers with integration testing

• Coaching and assisting business partners with their acceptance testing process

• Coaching and assisting business partners with their change management and system acceptance processes

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 1 year of experience working in an analytical, system design, programming or technical support role

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Visio

• An understanding of flowcharting and business process documentation methods

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to make presentations to business partners, vendors and technical staff

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle

• Ability to multi-task and work under time pressures and project deadlines

Physical and Other Requirements

• Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
