SkyWest Airlines Supervisor Maintenance Control in ST. GEORGE, Utah
Primary Job Duties
The Maintenance Control Center coordinates and facilitates a safe maintenance operation in keeping with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. They also maintain operational control by continuous liaison with dispatch and provides that department with current and continuing reports of the airworthiness status of the aircraft through the ARB status board.
Reports to the Manager of Maintenance.
Submit daily to the appropriate Quality and Maintenance Management, a report showing the previous day’s maintenance delays and cancellations.
Review CAMP Discrepancy Log and/or SkyTrack computer reports for repeat squawks.
Manage maintenance control personnel, including shift scheduling, procedural training, and monitoring of performance.
Has responsibility, which can be delegated and assigned, to collect the Form M-33 and M-33A, Shift Turnover Log, from the appropriate line and maintenance base for entry into a searchable format and retention. These files will contain a 30 day searchable history of line and base activity and will be made available to the Maintenance Controllers for review.
Ensure that all company and technical manuals used in Maintenance Control that is not available on SkyWest online, are kept current.
When Authorized IAW GMM 5-5, can perform OJT instructionand determine student's level of understanding and aptitude during OJT.
Ensures that all company and technical manuals used in Maintenance Control that are not available on SkyWest online, are kept current.
Review and approve the schedule and ensure all shifts are appropriately covered.
Verify all maintenance control reports are sent out in a timely manner.
At their discretion, assist Maintenance Controllers during high volume periods by completing Special Flight Permits and road trips only.
Reconciles the Maintenance Control Log with the Delay Tab.
Ensures the Maintenance Control Log Incident Report is sent
Notifying appropriate personnel of an aircraft accident or incident
Filling out and emailing the Spare Status Sheet on the weekends.
Observe Maintenance Controllers activities to verify procedures are being followed.
Responsible for the conduct of the Maintenance Controllers during their shifts.
Complete the employee evaluations for the Maintenance Controllers and review with the Manager of Maintenance SGU.
May delegate duties and authorities, unless specifically stated otherwise, IAW the GMM.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities as identified in GMM Sections and SOPs.
Line MX Experience
Knowledge of air worthiness procedures
Good communication skills
Works well with others
Knowledge of SkyTrac and Sabre systems preferred
Physical and Other Requirements
Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
A&P Mechanic Licence
Must be willing to relocate to St. George, UT
Willing to work a schedule of 7 on 7 off 11 hour shifts and will be bid by mechanics seniority
