As a Supervisor of Marketing Communications you will develop strategies, message and collateral to maintain and strengthen internal and external perception of SkyWest. Work closely with other members of the communications, creative and marketing teams to develop strategy and implement that strategy in online and print collateral. Facilitate SkyWest corporate giving and corporate citizenship initiatives. Coordinate external marketing partnerships, including those in SkyWest communities and schools. Develop interdepartmental partnerships to educate, inform and mobilize stakeholders. Lead, participate in and respond to internal and external conversation about SkyWest. Plan, schedule, and implement communication projects throughout all levels of the company. Serve as media spokesperson and champion of SkyWest. Strategy, Execution and Authenticity are imperative.

  • Develop and execute internal and external marketing communication strategies

  • Provide oversight for all SkyWest-branded materials, including collateral

  • Oversee and ensure consistency with SkyWest brand across all platforms

  • Provide oversight for SkyWest’s social media presence, including social media guidelines

  • Execute SkyWest Corporate Giving and Corporate Citizenship initiatives in alignment with the SkyWest brand and mission

  • Monitor competitive environment, with metrics, to continually improve SkyWest’s presence

  • Oversee corporate communications coordinator(s)

  • Review and provide ongoing data and analytics for websites and campaigns

  • Provide oversight for marketing and brand communications, including corporate and employer branding, recruitment marketing, etc.

  • Coordinate with market development to act as SkyWest liaison to community leaders, airport managers, media and major partners in SkyWest pro-rate markets

  • Establish program measurement goals and continually evaluate results, adapting strategy as necessary

  • Liaison for production of media in coordination with creative to represent brand messages

  • Work with creative and others within communications to develop content and collateral that furthers the SkyWest brand

  • Provide oversight for special event planning

  • Connect at all levels of the company to stay current on developments.

  • Speak in front of various groups of people, including SkyWest employees and external media

  • Serve as media spokesperson and rotate 24-hour on-call spokesperson responsibility

  • Understand, develop & be prepared to execute SkyWest’s Corp Comm Emergency Response Plan

  • Serve as project manager

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field

  • Three years’ work experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with branding and marketing

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology, new trends and the latest in social/mobile innovation

  • Organized project manager with ability to think strategically and creatively and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative and able to unite numerous interests for the greater SkyWest good

  • Ability to identify public relations threats and opportunities and make quick decisions

  • Ability to manage and lead several programs at once

  • Ability to adapt and respond to fluid environment

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to travel, when required

  • Ability to periodically stand, walk, and climb stairs
