SkyWest Airlines Technical Publications Writer in ST. GEORGE, Utah

Primary Job Duties

Provide support to the Manager Program Development in the preparation, publication and distribution of publications supporting Maintenance.

  • Assist the Manager Program Development to produce changes to Maintenance documents

  • Use the company Manual Change Request portal to process and track document changes

  • Track, audit, issue, and publish documents as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual

  • Attend meetings with SkyWest departments or outside agencies, as necessary

  • Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and department managers with effective communication

  • Work with SMEs to create, verify, and interface document changes

  • Maintain master copies (electronic or paper, as applicable) of all operational documents

  • Maintain an effective system for document availability, retrieval, and retention

  • Submit Task Requests to Administrative Services for document publication, when required

  • Build Table of Contents (TOC), List of Effective Pages (LOEP), and Temporary Revisions

  • Assist in maintaining Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) compliance with respect to manual content, currency, availability, consistency and distribution

  • Ensure manuals and documents are made available to the FAA in print and electronic format

  • Perform other duties as directed by Manager of Program Development

Minimum Requirements

  • Airline experience

  • Process and audit aircraft documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
