SkyWest Airlines Safety Auditor in United States
Primary Job Duties
Conduct flight operations audits and evaluations in accordance with regulatory guidance.
Work in collaboration with management to address their business risks and help them develop actionable plans to resolve audit findings.
Flight Deck Observation audits, Flight Simulator audits, and FLT IOSA ISARP evaluations.
Support external reviews of Company operating divisions by supporting both business and aviation-specific projects.
Conducting audits and evaluations for the SkyWest Safety Department, including but not limited to.
ORG IOSA Standards and Recommended Practice (ISARP) preparation
DOD Quality and Safety Requirements (QSR) audit and evaluation preparation
Participating in partner-specific external audits and IOSA and DOD audit processes.
Participating in regulatory Safety Assurance System (SAS) activity when directed by Manager IEP.
Assisting the Manager IEP in a quarterly review of evaluations and ISARPs with each operating department’s Safety Manager to ensure regulatory compliance.
Pilot/Flight Operations SME
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional curiosity, personal accountability for results, and strong credibility with peers, subordinates, and leaders.
Flexibility to travel with little or no advance notice to conduct audits/evaluations as needed in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to all levels of management.
Strong time management skills when working on simultaneous projects.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Previous auditor experience preferred.
Physical and Other Requirements
Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel
